Dr. Joerg Moeller has been Head of Bayer HealthCare Global Development since 2014. He leads Bayer global activities in drugs development, including development of most innovative treatments in sphere of cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology and hematology.
Dr. Moeller's career at Bayer AG began in 1993 in the Clinical Research International department.
This was followed by a variety of managerial positions with increasing responsibility in Clinical Development in the United States and Canada.
In 2001, he returned to Germany and was appointed Vice President of Strategic Drug Development Cardiovascular. From 2002 to 2003, he was in charge of the Global Clinical Strategy department of Bayer HealthCare's Pharmaceuticals Division. He served as Head of Global Clinical Development at Bayer HealthCare, in which capacity he has been based in the United States since 2012.
Dr. Moeller studied Medicine at Ruhr-University Bochum Medical School, during which time he completed research internships at Harvard Medical School in Boston and Yale University Medical School in New Haven (USA). After finishing Medical School, he worked at Ruhr-University Bochum Medical School, where he completed his thesis on clinical and biomechanical studies of the spine.
