Igor Ashmanov is one of the most well-recognized technology experts in Russian Federation, a renowned expert in the field of AI, software development and project management. A member of Human Rights Council in Russia. Having graduated with a PhD in Science and Technology Studies from Moscow State University, he quickly rose to fame as one of the top performing R&D managers, and later - as a CEO of Rambler, a Russian search engine and one of the biggest Russian web portals.
Most of his projects since 1983 are built on top of original researches in applied linguistics: from Orfo, a spellchecker that is now part of Microsoft Office’s Russian edition, to Spamtest, an antispam filter that for years has been ensuring continuous work of major Russian ISPs and system integrators.
Since 2001 Igor Ashmanov is the managing partner in Ashmanov and Partners JSC. The company is an industry’s leader in the development of intelligent systems for semantic analysis, search systems and services for search engine promotion.
In 2010 Igor Ashmanov founded Kribrum JSC. Company applies the whole range of unique proprietary technologies and develops the Kribrum Platform for monitoring and analysis of all Russian language social media and mass media, and is actively used by major commercial organizations and government agencies of the Russian Federation.
In 2019 in alliance with Moscow State University Kribrum founded the Digital Sociology Department with Igor Ashmanov as the head of the Department.
